Russian School of Christ

They came from all over the Chita Region of Siberia.  They were pastors and youth pastors, worship team members and intercessors.  The common thread among them is the desire for more of God and desire to see true revival in the Far East of Russia.  They spent one month in study and in prayer.  The daily schedule was simple: Pray for one hour in the morning, Study from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, break for lunch and a rest, then return from 4:00 till 6:30 pm for more classes.  The evening session included one lesson and one hour of prayer.

One goal we have is reveal the heart of God to each student.  They need to hear God's desire for their life and ministry.  They need to understand that God has chosen them to be a vessel which if filled with his presence and from which flows his power.  One of the message from the series, "Paths to Power" deals directly with this thought.  The message is entitled "Believers Are For Signs and Wonders" and it focuses our attention on God's desire for such a vessel and his preparation of that vessel for use.  As we speak to them about many of the Old Testament characters like Abraham, Joseph and Moses it becomes very apparent that God works continuously in our lives to produce a vessel which can contain his life.  In fact God does not work without such a vessel.  His plan is to display Jesus Christ to world through the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.

That night God ministered powerfully to each person.  Most were broken, weeping before him.  Their desire is to be used as a vessel.  Their desire is for God to make a difference in their ministries and thus their cities and villages.  For nearly  an hour this weeping continued as we interceded for the world.  The next day the faces of many of the students were visibly changed.  God had given them an assurance of his presence and power in their lives.  They testified of his calling and  his promise that He would be with them.

This School of Christ was the first school in that area since 1998.  Many Students have literally waited 8 years for the school to be taught.  Please pray that God will open the doors for us to minister again in that region and in other places that wait for the School of Christ.  The fields are white, ready for harvest.  The need is for workers to go into that harvest field.  Let's not keep them waiting.  They desire to study and to be prepared as a vessel of God.
